HELLO EVERYONE!!
So, it appears like it's been almost a full year since I last updated my journal. Lots of stuff has been going on here. I helped my mom move and, in doing so, moved back up with her to help her out for awhile. I started and ended another semester of school, and just recently had a visit to the ER. Just a few days ago I even had my comic work compromised after an incompetent server at Denny's poured coffee all over my pages in an attempt to refill my mug.
But, here we are. Hours before the new Doctor Who premieres on BBC America.
I have just been announced as a guest for Saboten Con 2014
Buy your tickets here www.sabotencon.com/attending/b…
If you're in the area, or plan on attending the con, come out and support this convention and swing by and see me! Saboten Con is Arizona's premiere Japanese Culture convention!
I am truly very honored to be back at Saboten Con. Thank you again to all involved for having me return!
I am releasing a special, limited edition 200 copy print run of Zombie B.C. #2, exclusive to Saboten Con. ONCE THOSE 200 COPIES ARE SOLD OUT, THERE WILL BE NO REPRINTS!
The book is an A.R.C. (Advanced Readers Copy) for Zombie B.C. #2, presented in it's raw, original pencils without inks.
Cover art will be unveiled shortly (cover art by Ryan McMurry).
I will have the latest printing of Zombie B.C. #1 on hand to sell, as well. I will also have limited commission spots open as I have a busy schedule being part of discussion panels.
I HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!!
Saboten Con is a special kind of convention for me. It was at the very first Saboten Con when I started trying out Art Tables (I shared table space with ArtLair at www.artlair.com). It was also the last time I saw one of my close friends, Greg, before he more-or-less stopped coming out to our shows. I have missed many other cons in recent years due to personal stuff happening, but I have yet to miss a Saboten Con and I have been present as an artist at every one so far!
Saboten Con 2012 marked my departure from being a "print artist", where I released my first comic book, "Zombie B.C.". I wrote and drew the whole thing as well as being my own editor. My friend of 5 years, and local model, Aurora O'Brien had known about the project back in it's early stages and wanted to contribute artwork for it in her support for my project. She was unable to complete the art on her own due to emergencies due to weather problems, so she had her mentor and legendary artist Steve Rude "The Dude" (see: Nexus comic book, DC Comics "Before Watchmen: Dollar Bill #1") finish up the image. That image became the cover to the first issue of Zombie B.C. #1, which I then colored myself.
I wasn't sure about premiering a horror comic at an anime/Japanese con, especially when there aren't any real Japanese influences in the story or art. But I was pleasantly surprised when I sold out my first printings.
Now I am honored to be brought back out to Saboten Con. I love to support these guys and I want to release something new and special to this convention.
Hope to see you guys there!!

Saboten Con 2013 Guest!
Hey guys,
It's been a long, long time.
I have been moving for the past... couple months. Why is it taking forever? Because I'm really doing most of it myself. I'm moving to help family out. Technically this has been a couple years now, never knowing when exactly we were supposed to move. I gave up a lot of opportunities because I wasn't sure when I would be gone or not. Once this started, I got some really useful help, such as borrowing a friends truck for a month or so but the majority has been me. It's really been wearing me out.
Anyways! Today is my 29th birthday!
And I wanted to get word out here that I am a guest for Saboten Con comi
PLEASE VOTE FOR ME IN PCC'13 BADGE ART CONTEST!
Hey everyone!
Sorry I haven't been around too much lately. I got a job doing some artwork for a website and under contract I'm not allowed to post the work outside of the original website. So that work along with my "normal" employment and still being a student have been taking a lot of time away from more personal work.
At any rate, my artwork has been accepted for the Badge Art Contest for the upcoming Phoenix ComiCon '13.
We are getting 4 of the cast members from The Walking Dead: Laurie Holden (Andrea), Danai Gurira (Michonne), Michael Rooker (Meryl) and Chandler Riggs (Carl).
This is a brand new, never before seen piece that I comple
An Update? Why not?! Zombie B.C. News
Well it's been awhile, and I'm checking my page.
I haven't abandoned the page but I just haven't been able to get anything worthwhile completed. I have been doing some drawing but I haven't been able to get anything to a completed stage.
Everything has been incredibly stressful on my side for awhile but it just isn't letting up. Recently the shit has really been hitting the fan to the point I'm having health related problems due to the amount of stress I have been under.
This weekend was the Amazing Arizona Comic Con (AACC), which I had to unfortunately miss out on again this year. This was it's 3rd year and I have only made it to one of t
So Delayed! Sabo and Zombie B.C. Recap!
Hey all!
So sorry for the delay here. This is honestly the first I have been on the computer since the beginning of the month.
I got really sick post-con. Many people call it 'Con-Plague". I'm not entirely sure that's what it really was. I think it was just a culmination of me just not taking care of myself very well over the course of the convention. I had sinus problems, I couldn't breath, I was wheezing which then meant I couldn't sleep. At somepoint I got a violent cause of the hiccups that caused me to throw up. I called out of work, something I just never do. I been working where I been for over 3 years and never took a sick day.
So
