Atari Betamax

After completing my drawing of Kuri I had decided to draw some more of my friends... seemed like a good exercise.
Next up ended up being Renee/ LMU/ Atari from a message bored I been hanging around for a very long time.

I got to meet her once on a trip to Chicago to see the group Tub Ring.

Shes a very cool girl and very gorgeous... lots of different looks to choose from in her images.
This one grabbed me... plus I figured the angle shes tilting her head would be a challenge (lower jaw and neck).

Lots of fun to work on and more fun to color.

I took color samples from the reference image.
The background also features a snippit of MC Escher's "Metamorphosis", which is what shes got tattooed on her arm (which I tried to draw).

the "Atari" symbol was used 'cus she has used the name as a handle on the fourm.

"Betamax" is the name of her musical project.
